Writer/Director/Executive Producer A business graduate of Howard University, Andre’ has made his mark in the television world as a producer, director and production executive. Having spent 12 years at Black Entertainment Television where he was vice president of comedy, an executive producer on several shows and director of his own sketch comedy show before going independent in 2002. Andre’ continued to produce for Paramount with their syndicated dance show Dance 360 and also on Warner Bros’s talk/variety show Steve Harvey’s Big Time which lead him to developing his own projects. Andre’s influences in television came from producers Norman Lear and his exploration of the cultural differences and Aaron Spelling and his desire of developing new talent and telling their stories as they see them. Andre’ wrote Jock Itch as a result of his experiences growing up in Yeadon, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Jock Itch is loosely based on those experiences playing high school football and how it taught him more than the game but the opportunity to forge friendships that were not limited to just his race. |
